With the downfall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8, 2024, Syria has entered a new phase where internal transformations intersect with regional and international strategic considerations. As spheres of influence are being redefined, fundamental questions arise regarding the country’s future. This paper examines the key regional and international actors, the impact of political and military shifts on power dynamics, and the ongoing security and economic challenges amid the ongoing power dynamics between different key players.
